Town Bank welcomes three new board of director members


May 14, 2019 – Town Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank, announced that Cecelia Gore, executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation; Rebecca Kleefisch, Wisconsin’s 44th lieutenant governor; and Bill O’Toole, president and chief executive officer of Catholic Financial Life, have been elected to Town Bank’s board of directors.

“We are delighted to welcome Cecelia, Rebecca, and Bill to our board of directors,” said Jay Mack, chairman and CEO of Town Bank. “They are highly accomplished business leaders who bring significant experience and knowledge of our market. With these additions, our board is well-suited to oversee the bank’s growth.”

Cecelia Gore is the executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation, and she also serves as the governance director of CG Schmidt, Inc. A pillar in the greater Milwaukee nonprofit sector, she currently serves on several boards and is the 2019 co-chair of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.

A graduate of Alverno College, Cecelia holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA. She was presented with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Carroll University and has been recognized as a National Association of Corporate Directors Governance fellow. Cecelia has received multiple awards including the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Women of Influence, Hall of Fame, and 40 Under 40; Junior Achievement Peak Performer; and the Cook Whitcomb Award from the Boys and Girls Club Anna Belle.

Rebecca Kleefisch is Wisconsin’s 44th lieutenant governor. She is Wisconsin’s Jobs Ambassador, chairs the Manufacturing Committee for the Aerospace States Association, chairs the Governor’s Task Force on Minority Unemployment, is appointed to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, and developed the annual Governor’s Small Business Summit.

She has earned the Courage in Leadership award from the Faith & Freedom Coalition, was recognized as a Woman of Exceptional Courage by the Clare Boothe Luce Institute, and was listed as one of the 40 Under 40 rising stars in American politics by The Washington Post.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Rebecca lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, with her husband State Representative Joel Kleefisch and her two daughters.

Bill O’Toole is the president and CEO of Catholic Financial Life in Milwaukee. He serves on several boards including the American Fraternal Alliance, the United Community Center of Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau.

Bill earned the Board Leadership Fellow designation from the National Association of Corporate Directors. In 2013, he received the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award from the Marquette University Intercollegiate Athletics Department. He’s also been recognized with the Friend of the Hispanic Community award by the UCC and the Board of the Year award in 2017 from Foley’s National Directors Institute.

A native of St. Louis, Bill received his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and his MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. Bill and his wife Karolyn live in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
